Savor the Captain’s catch of the day. Straight off the boat and on to your table, the freshest local seafood is enhanced by a fine selection of imported produce to give you a menu full of delicious nautical fare. Whatever your fancy, our shrimp, fish, crab and lobster are all cooked to perfection and served with a dash of inspiration.
You may choose to have your seafood grilled in the open grill area, sautéed in garlic butter, served in a white wine sauce or cooked using traditional Mexican or Yucatecan recipes. Are you in the mood for lobster? Select your own Caribbean lobster from our live lobster tanks, it doesn’t get any fresher than this, and our chefs are masters in the art of cooking it. Your options include the classic Lobster Thermidor and a creamy lobster Bisque, lobster grilled or sautéed in garlic butter or lobster enchiladas in a delicious sauce subtly flavored with chipotle chile.

Captain’s Cove house specialties include the sumptuous Seafood Platter for two, Tikinxic, or Mayan-style grilled fish, a hearty seafood soup and Caribbean Coconut Shrimp. Try the boquinete or hogfish, a local fish prized for its flavorful white meat, snapper, grouper, mahi-mahi and shrimp, which are served in a variety of tempting dishes. Imported salmon, tuna and Chilean sea bass are all popular choices and crab, clams and calamari also appear on the menu.
Captain’s Cove is a Seafood and Steak Grill and meat lovers will find plenty to tempt them, starting with juicy Angus steaks and BBQ ribs.
If you are looking for a lighter option, order starters to share such as the golden-fried calamari or the crab cakes, try the clam chowder, a seafood ceviche or cocktail or the crab cakes and one of our temptingly fresh salads.
Save space for dessert, the mango cheesecake and key lime pie are excellent choices, our crème brulée is a crowd pleaser and there’s mouthwatering double chocolate cake and carrot cake for a traditional touch.
Ice-cold Mexican beer is the perfect accompaniment for fresh seafood, but if you prefer something more sophisticated, how about a margarita made with premium tequila, a daiquiri or even a mojito. If you usually order wine with your meal, our waiters will be happy to recommend a bottle from the Captain’s Cove wine list, all carefully chosen to enhance the seafood and steak dishes on the menu.
